I draw from evidence-based treatments including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Research has shown each of these to be effective interventions for alcohol and substance use disorders.

If you are interested in talking to someone about your drinking or substance use, my treatment approach consists of an initial 4-6 sessions to assess your situation and to discuss your personal goals and recommendations. Further sessions may be recommended to strengthen skills to maintain changes or to address other life issues.
